Tip burn
Copper and calcium both are involved in the correct formation and structure of cell walls. Calcium is the cement that sticks adjacent cells together while copper influences the production of a substance called lignin that makes tissues stronger with age. Deficiencies of either nutrient therefore may lead to a withering of leaf tips as the tissue structure breaks down.
